What is it: Sandusky City Schools recently provided the public with an update on the progress of the Sandusky Aquatic Center.
“While our staff and students have been away enjoying winter break, construction on the Sandusky Aquatic Center has ramped up and we are excited to show you some of the progress being made,” the district posted on its
Facebook page on Jan. 5. “Over the past month, Mosser Construction and crew have worked to create an opening in the exterior wall and demo the existing bleachers among many other important tasks.”
Current timeline: The current timeline for the project includes (timeframes are estimates and subject to change):
- Demolition completion in March
- Mechanical and electrical rough-in and interior concrete and masonry complete in April
- Delivery of pool equipment in June
- Installation of pool equipment complete in September
- Interior finishes complete in October
- Testing of pool equipment and projection completion in December
