Shores & Islands Ohio hires new employees, promotes one

What is it: Shores & Islands Ohio recently welcomed new staff members and transitioned one current staffer to a new role.


Ben SimonBen Simon: Ben Simon, of Milan, has joined the Shores & Islands team as marketing and sales director. Simon is responsible for developing and directing organization-wide initiatives that help to highlight the Shores & Islands brand and destination locally, regionally, and nationally, according to a release. With 15 years of experience, Simon most recently served as a senior account executive for OUTFRONT Media. He is based in the Sandusky welcome center and can be reached at [email protected].







Tiffany Frisch
Tiffany Frisch: Frisch, of Sandusky, has been promoted assistant group accounts director. She is responsible for assisting the marketing and sales director with group sales and marketing of the destination for groups. Frisch has been with Shores & Islands Ohio in various group sales roles since 2015.

"I am very honored to have received this promotion with Shores & Islands Ohio," Frisch says. "I am excited to learn and grow with our team as we continue to be a first-class destination for groups, meetings, and sporting events. I know we are going to achieve great things together as we continue to do great work for and with groups coming to the destination."

Nichole Wade

Nichole Wade: Wade, of Sandusky, recently joined the team as assistant destination experience director. She is responsible for assisting the destination development and experience director with partner relations, welcome center projects by supporting the visitor experience team. Wade has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, previously working as a food and beverage manager with Great Wolf Lodge, convention center operations manager with Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, and most recently as an entrepreneur with her business, Violet Pineapple Balloons.
